THE COMPANY

A story rooted in the land of Chianti, between tradition, vision, and respect for nature

Nestled among the gentle hills of Lilliano, in the authentic heart of Chianti Classico, stands Podere Casetto, a small but dynamic family-run wine reality. Our winery is located in Casetto di Lilliano, in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti, in a context of rare beauty where landscape, history, and human work have been intertwined for generations.

At 250 meters above sea level, our 5.5 hectares of vineyards extend around the winery, creating a direct and tangible connection between vineyard and wine. The very short distance between the rows and the production facility allows us to work the grapes at their best moment, preserving freshness, integrity, and typicity.

Our Soils

The soils are varied, the result of targeted zoning that reflects the geological complexity of Chianti: clay, galestro, alberese, and tufo compose a mosaic that gives our wines structure, elegance, and depth. The north-south exposure of the rows ensures optimal balance between sun and ventilation, contributing to slow and complete ripening.

Our Grape Varieties

Our cultivation follows the Guyot training system, ideal for enhancing the characteristics of our prince grape variety: Sangiovese, which represents 90% of production. The remaining 10% is divided between Cabernet Franc, Pinot Grigio, Canaiolo, and Tempranillo, varieties that allow us to explore new sensory nuances while always keeping our roots firmly in tradition.

The Organic Path

In 2022 we began the conversion to organic farming, with the goal of obtaining certification by 2026. A conscious choice, guided by the desire to protect our environment and offer wines that are a sincere expression of the territory and the respect we have for it.

Cellar Production

Our production is limited, currently around 5,000 bottles per year, but each bottle is the result of artisanal, careful, and passionate work. In the cellar we use containers made of steel, wood, cement, and vitrified amphora, different tools to tell the wine in the most authentic way possible.

Our Philosophy

Our production philosophy is based on the meeting between nature and technology, tradition and innovation. We want to produce quality wines that speak of us and our territory, capable of moving those who drink them and telling the story of this extraordinary land.

Surrounded by the villages of Lilliano and Castellina in Chianti, among Romanesque churches, castles, and centuries-old cypresses, we preserve a simple but profound vision: to make wine as in the past, with our eyes on tomorrow.
