FAMILY STORY
A small family-run winery nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico, among soft hills, orderly rows, and landscapes that smell of history and authenticity.
Here, where every season leaves its mark and every clod of earth tells something, our family has cultivated vines for generations, interweaving ancient gestures with respect for nature and its rhythms.
Our story has its roots in the first half of the twentieth century, when my great-grandfather decided to create a farm, driven by a sincere love for the land and the desire to build something that could last over time. It was agriculture done by hand, laborious but noble, guided by the awareness that every harvest was the result not only of work, but also of patience and balance with the environment.
In the 1970s, the torch passed to my grandfather Giovanni, a practical man, tied to tradition but open to innovation. He made a decisive turn, improving cultivation techniques and paying great attention to the quality of the grapes. His vineyards, cared for with rigor and passion, began to be appreciated by the most prestigious wineries in the region. For decades, the fruits of our labor silently contributed to the creation of some of the most renowned wines of Chianti Classico, although without directly bearing their name.
Today, with pride and gratitude towards those who came before us, we are ready to write a new chapter of our story. We have chosen to vinify our grapes directly, creating wines that bear the name, character, and soul of Podere Casetto. It is not just a natural step, but a declaration of intent: we want to tell our territory through our vision, giving back to wine everything this land has taught us.
Every bottle contains much more than wine: it is the fruit of a deep connection with the soil, respect for seasonal cycles, knowledge passed down, and daily commitment. It is a bridge between past and future, between what we have been and what we want to become.
Podere Casetto is first and foremost a family, a place of values, a life project. Continuing to cultivate these vineyards means keeping a tradition alive, but also having the courage to renew it. In every sip of our wines there is a story of passion, dedication, and love for our Chianti Classico.
